Tigers plot Stadium of Light swoop.

Check in to England vs Italy

Hull City boss Steve Bruce will look to tempt Sunderland winger Adam Johnson into leaving the Stadium of Light this summer according to the Daily Mail.

The 26 year old cost Sunderland £10m two years ago but the KC Stadium side are to offer just £5m for the England international, a move that is sure to get short shrift from the north-east side.

Johnson enjoyed an excellent season last term, finishing the season as Sunderland’s leading goal-scorer and top assist maker, and given that Gus Poyet successfully steered the Black Cats to safety there seems little reason why the former Man City would consider leaving this summer.

Bruce is also looking to sign out of contract Arsenal man Nicklas Bendtner to help boost his front-line, a move that could be far easier to pull off.
