Both Melbourne City and the Western Sydney Wanderers play their first games since returning from the Asian Cup break at AAMI Park on Sunday.

City have reinforced its squad in defence during the break, bringing in Jack Clisby and Safuwan Baharudin from Perth Glory and Lions XII respectively.

Socceroos striker Josh Kennedy has been named in the squad, but his return is likely to be delayed a week due to a minor setback.

Mate Dugandzic, James Brown and Robbie Wielaert will miss the match through injury, while Andrew Redmayne will make a return between the sticks after Tando Velaphi was suspended in City’s 1-0 loss to Central Coast before the Asian Cup break.

There’s been player movement at the Wanderers too, with creative midfielder Vitor Saba departing Parramatta.

The Brazilian has been replaced by Japanese international Yojiro Takahagi, who has immediately been named in the Wanderers’ squad.

Tomi Juric and Matthew Spiranovic are with the Socceroos on Asian Cup duty and will be sorely missed by a side who is still yet to register a win.

Make sure you tune in!
