The 32-year-old is out of contract at the Camp Nou at the end of the month and has been linked with a free transfer to Barclays Premier League outfit Manchester United in recent months.

Reports in the Daily Star Sport on Friday suggested that Alves has a pre-contract agreement in place with the Red Devils, however, there has been no official confirmation from either club nor the player himself.

The Champions League final against Juventus could be the right-back’s last game for the club as he’s already announced he intends to make a decision on his future after the game.

Cafu, who spent five years with the Rossoneri outfit between 2003-2008, has admitted he’d like to see one of his predecessors in the Brazil national team don the Red and Black stripes of Milan next season:

“Dani Alves would be a great signing for AC Milan, he said.

“He is one of the strongest full-backs in the world,” Cafu concluded.

Barca have reportedly secured the signature of Sevilla’s Aleix Vidal [via Spanish publication Sport] as a possible replacement for Alves, which could mean his days are numbered with the La Liga champions.
