Manchester United star slammed after failed loan spell

Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has drawn the ire of Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel who has criticised his attitude.

The Belgian international spent the first half of the season on loan with the Bundesliga giants after leaving Old Trafford prior to the summer transfer deadline.

However, he failed to impress his coach during that period which in turn has seen Januzaj return to Manchester hoping to break into Louis van Gaal’s side.

While it remains to be seen whether or not the talented youngster can prove himself to the Dutchman, the assessment from Tuchel is unlikely to do him many favours.

“It is a pity he did not show the desire and attitude you need to progress at his age,” he told Bild, as reported by Sky Sports.

“My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United. We were not able to help him to shake that off.”

The 20-year-old made six league appearances for the German outfit, producing two assists and failing to score a single goal as he now looks to re-establish himself at United.

However, with the likes of Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay and Juan Mata all fighting for the same spot, he will undoubtedly have to show Van Gaal he has the right approach to succeed in the coming weeks.
