Arguably the best striker in La Liga not playing for either Barcelona or Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has been a target for the Premier League and other major European clubs for a while. Griezmann’s biggest contenders, Chelsea and Manchester United, may have just been put on high alert after rumours that he has newly found interest in playing for a Premier League club.
According to the Daily Mail, Griezmann has been telling his friends that he is interested in playing for the Premier League. The 24-year-old French striker has 20 goals in 34 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season, and scored another 25 for the club last year.
Antoine Griezmann has been heavily targeted by Chelsea, Man United and Manchester City in the past, but his price tag has been astronomical.
Chelsea, however, may have the edge due to their better relationship with Atletico manager Diego Simeone, not to mention an asset that Simeone has openly stated he wants: Diego Costa.
