Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Eredivisie giants Ajax over a move for highly-rated teenage wonder kid Riechedly Bazoer, according to Spanish publication AS.
The 19-year-old has been a revelation for the club this season, and has already earned his first call up to the senior Dutch national team.
And now Chelsea are said to have started talks with the Dutch giants over a transfer with Marca claiming they are quick to sew up a deal in the wake of Barcelona’s recent interest.
However, Ajax Sporting Director Marc Overmars was already aware of the interest mounting in the youngster, and recently convinced him to pen a contract extension at the Amsterdam ArenA until 2020.
But it is thought that a healthy offer in the region of £15million would be enough to convince the club to part ways with the player.
Naturally a central midfield operator, Bazoer can also fill in at centre-back when needed and help ease the problems the Blues have had in that position this term.
