Champions League scoring machine listening to transfer offers after declining contract extension

In a fascinating twist, Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann could be available for a prospective Premier League buyer – for the right price, of course.

According to FOX Sports, Griezmann’s representative Eric Olhats brushed off the reports that a deal between the French striker and Atletico was imminent and stated that he is listening to offers despite an alleged concrete offer from the club.

“Contrary to certain claims announcing that Antoine at Atletico next season will be the case without fail, nothing has been decided or endorsed,” Olhats told L’Equipe, per the source.

“We are currently listening to different clubs who also offer real interest and attraction.”

Griezmann has been heavily linked to Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal as well as a variety of top-flight European clubs.

Rumours have persisted for nearly a month that Griezmann was committing his future to Atletico Madrid no matter what. But apparently the French striker’s future was not as set in stone as once believed. Bad news for the Champions League finalists regardless of their outcome against Real Madrid on Saturday – but a glimmer of hope for everyone else

Griezmann has scored 22 La Liga goals for Atletico in back-to-back years with the club and has set a career-high this past year with 32 goals in all competitions. He was a vital player in Atletico’s big wins over Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the Champions League Quarter- and Semi-Finals respectively.
