Everton’s young core of superstars have been targeted by some very high-spending clubs this summer, but one of the slightly more surprising transfer targets from the team – Ramiro Funes Mori – is earning looks from La Liga and Champions League favourites Barcelona.
According to the Independent, Funes Mori has attracted the interest of Barcelona ever since Luis Enrique’s scouts took note of him during a scouting of Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu.
Per the source, Barcelona are not expected to make an offer yet but are continuing to monitor the 25-year-old Argentine, who is currently representing his home country in the Copa America Centenario.
Funes Mori joined Everton last summer on a £9.5 million switch from River Plate.
His teammate John Stones as been the subject of massive bids from the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal among many others.
