Arsenal secured a 4-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, with Alexis Sanchez scoring twice to take his overall tally to 50 goals for the club.
The visitors took the lead in the first half with Sanchez getting his first of the day with an excellent header, but he was left furious early in the second period after being denied a penalty.

To compound his anger, Sunderland were awarded a spot kick just minutes later with Jermain Defoe making no mistake from the spot as it looked as though Arsene Wenger’s men could be in danger of dropping points.
However, Olivier Giroud’s introduction made the difference as the Frenchman scored two goals with his first two touches of the game to swing the momentum back in his side’s favour.
Arsenal weren’t finished there either with Sanchez finding the back of the net with a composed finish to secure all three points which move them clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of the remaining fixtures this weekend.
