Arsenal and Everton are both interested in signing want-away Lyon star Rachid Ghezzal, report Calciomercato.
Ghezzal came through the Lyon academy in the 2012/13 season, and immediately established himself as an important member of the Ligue 1 giant’s squad. However, his 2013/14 campaign was derailed by a serious back injury that saw him ruled out of action for more than six months.
The Algerian international is fit again, however, and is enjoying a stellar season for Lyon. The 24-year-old has found the back of the net ten times in all competitions this term, with eight of those coming in the league.
His good performances in Lyon appear to have turned heads in England. According to Calciomercato, both Arsenal and Everton are interested in signing Ghezzal.
However, they will both face stern competition. Calciomercato believe that AS Roma and AC Milan are also in the race to secure his services. The Italian outlet note that he was close to sealing a £12million move to Everton last summer, but the deal was never completed.
