Now listen to this. The £20.1 million Liverpool signing from Atletico Madrid in the summer Fernando Torres has admitted that as a child, he dreamt of playing for a club as huge as AC Milan but insists that he doesn’t want to move out of Anfield now.
The Spanish matador says:
Relations between Atletico and Milan have always been excellent, and the possibility has been discussed, but I never got a precise offer from Milan. I am very grateful to Milan because, since I was a child, I dreamed of playing for such a big club. But the interest of Milan has never pushed to the point of having to decide whether to go or not. At this moment, I would not go. I am happy in Liverpool and The Premier League and I hope to stay for a long time. Never say never, though.
“Never say never, though.” This is the phrase that is a cause for worry. Torres is currently one of the bst strikers in the English Premier League and he is just 23 years of age. Liverpool lost the UEFA Champions League final last season to Milan and they wouldn’t like to lose Torres to the Italian giants either.
