Cristiano Ronaldo humble about his goals tally

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo notched up his 30th goal in all competitions on Wednesday night when he scored the only goal against Lyon in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford. The Portuguese international is playing breathtaking football once again but he is humble enough to acknowledge the contribution of his team-mates to his amazing goal fiesta this season.

The 23-year old says:

My colleagues help me a lot.

The most important thing is to win games and trophies.

I feel fine, I am in good shape and getting vital goals. I want to score more and help the side.

Maybe we did not play that well against Lyon but we deserved the victory.

Sometimes you do not play your best but you win. That is the important thing and we are through to the next round.

There’s every chance that Ronaldo would break the 40-goal mark this season and for a player who is only 23 and not a striker, that would be some achievement.
