What is it with Chelsea being linked with Brazilian players recently? First it was Ronaldinho, then it was Daniel Alves (because going after him in 2007 wasn’t enough!), and now it looks like Chelsea have decided to make a move once again for Real Madrid striker, Robinho.
Marca is reporting that Chelsea have once again decided that splashing cash is the best way to show their interest. They’re hoping the £27.9m figure being thrown in the direction of Real president Ramon Calderon is enough to make him bite.
Chelsea would be willing to offer up to 35 million euros (£27.9m) for Robinho, said the program At first touch and Onda Cero Radio Marca, which indicated that the London club has already made known their interest to Real Madrid for the Brazilian striker and his intention of having him next season. Not to be outdone by the current offer, Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be interested in joining Chelsea in a bid for the striker if Real give Chelsea any hint that a deal could take place.
