Stamford Bridge return seems plausible for Bernabeu boss.
Chelsea are reportedly in negotiations to bring Jose Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge according to the Daily Mail.
The West London side have apparently already begun the process of trying to lure the ‘Special One’ back to the club and are looking to see about his availability to take over from Rafa Benitez in the summer.
Another defeat, this time away at lowly Granada, leaves Real Madrid 15 points off La Liga leaders Barcelona and perhaps more humiliatingly seven points off city rivals Atletico. This could well leave Mourinho’s future at the Bernabeu very shaky to say the least.
The 50 year old has become an increasingly isolated figure at the Spanish giants and even though he helped his side to a La Liga title last term there is every chance he will be axed if he fails to secure either a domestic or Champions League crown this term.
A move back to Chelsea could well depend on what sort of relationship Mourinho has with owner Roman Abramovich, with the pair falling out some years ago, which in part led to the manager’s departure from the Premier League club back in September 2007.
