Royals lining up summer bid for the player.
Reading are eyeing up a summer bid for Palermo midifielder Jasmin Kurtic according to talkSport.
The Royals are keen to bolster their midfield and are set to make an approach to the Serie A side to enquire about a possible deal for the player.
The 24 year old midfielder has been capped seven times for the Slovenian national side and has begun to establish himself as a regular in the side after making his debut against Greece in May last year.
Palermo signed Kurtic from Gorica in 2011 but the player went out on loan to Serie B side Varese. The player returned to his parent club for the current season and has impressed with his performances as he has cemented a regular spot in the Palermo first team.
Reading are reportedly keen to bring Kurtic to English football but much depends on their ability to retain their Premier League status.
The Royals are currently in 19th place in the Premier League, four points off Aston Villa who lie in the safety of 17th.
The club are currently looking for a new manager having parted ways with Brian McDermott on Monday. The likes of Roberto Di Matteo, Paolo Di Canio and Nigel Adkins have all been linked with the vacant managerial hot-seat.
