Argentine striker keen on return to Madrid.
Manchester City are bracing themselves for a big summer offer from Real Madrid for their striker Sergio Aguero according to The Daily Star.
The Argentine forward has been one of the club’s star players since joining from Ateltico Madrid 18 months ago.
Aguero netted the goals against QPR that secured the title for them in the last minutes of last season.
But Aguero is reported to have become increasingly disillusioned with life in England. The player recently broke up with his wife, Giannina, who is the daughter of former star Diego Maradona.
Giannina has now returned to Madrid with their son Ben and reports are suggesting that Aguero is keen to move back to Spain to be closer to them.
Real Madrid tried to sign Aguero when he left Atletico Madrid but the club refused to allow the striker to leave for their bitter rivals.
The Spanish giants look set to make Aguero their number one summer target after being priced out of moves for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale and Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
Reports are suggesting the Spanish giants are preparing to test City’s resolve with a £45 million bid the striker. It is thought Madrid will consider an improved offer should City reject their initial approach.
