Chelsea are reportedly keen on Celtic keeper Fraser Forster according to Italian source TuttoMercato.

The West London side are considering a summer move for the 25 year old who has been named in Roy Hodgson’s England squads but is still awaiting his first national team cap.

Forster moved to Parkhead after two successful season long loan spells, having been forced out of the Newcastle United starting eleven by Dutchman Tim Krul.

Chelsea may well have been impressed by Forster’s displays in the Champions League this term and one would imagine that any successful move for the Celtic man would lead to Belgian Thibaut Courtois leaving Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis. The youngster has spent the last two seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and appears to have little chance in displacing Petr Cech as the Blues first choice keeper.

Presumably a move for Forster is with a view to keeping Cech on his toes as neither Hilario or Ross Turnbull are of sufficient quality to do so.

Forster has made 134 appearances for Celtic and kept an impressive 67 clean sheets in the process.
