Frenchman lavishes praise on Welsh winger.
French legend Zinedine Zidane has reignited speculation that Real Madrid could be set to make a huge mega bucks move for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale according to The Sun.
The Welsh winger has been in scintillating form for Tottenham this season and is becoming one of the hottest properties in Europe.
A host of top European sides have been linked with the player’s signature with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid thought to be at the front of a queue of clubs that also includes the likes of Manchester United and Paris St Germain.
Speculation had died down in recent weeks with Tottenham seemingly determined to hold on to the player but Zidane has thrown Madrid’s hat into the ring once more.
Zidane is currently Real Madrid’s Director of Football and identified Bale as the player who had impressed him the most this season.
The former Galactico star praised Bale’s pace and acceleration but also pointed to the youngster’s technical ability.
That was on display last weekend when Bale netted a superb goal for Tottenham against Swansea that keeps their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
Tottenham have offered Bale a new contract thought to be worth £150,000 a week and it is thought he could be persuaded to stay for another season should the club find themselves playing in Europe’s elite club competition.
