Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos, could be set for a switch to Chelsea this summer the Express reports.

The 27-year-old had thought to be a shock target for rivals Barcelona as speculation surrounding his future continues to grow and with current boss, Jose Mourinho, reportedly edging closer to a return to his former club there are rumours that the 101 cap Spanish international could join him.

Mourinho has apparently already made it clear that he wants to bring German international midfielder, Sami Khedira with him to West London should he rejoin the Blues and Ramos could be another one to swap Spain for the Premier League.

Reports in Europe also suggest that Ramos, like David Villa, has hired an English teacher to help him learn the language, further fuelling speculation that his future may lie on these shores.

Real booked a place in the semi final of the Champions League this week, a trophy that is missing from the player’s long list of personal and club honours and they are still in the running to land the La Liga title.

Ramos joined Real from Sevilla in 2005 and has since gone on to become a key figure at the club making 348 appearances and scoring 40 goals.

He is contracted to the Madrid giants until 2017 and is valued at £35 million.
