Real Madrid are showing serious intent in the chase for Spurs star Bale.
Real Madrid will put three players up for sale to help fund a move for in-demand Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Express.
The Spanish giants are willing to shift Gonzalo Higuain, Kaka and Fabio Coentrao this summer to land their main target, who has had another eye-catching season at White Hart Lane.
The Welshman was yesterday nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, and will be one of the favourites to win it, especially if his fine form continues and helps guide Spurs to a Champions League place.
However, it is not clear if achieving a place in next season’s top European competition would be enough to keep Bale at the club, especially if an offer comes in from a prestigious suitor such as Real, who can also offer the kind of money Spurs may feel they cannot turn down.
Barcelona have also been linked with the former Southampton winger, and it would seem his future surely lies in La Liga, as Tottenham would not want to see him leave for a Premier League rival.
It is understood that Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is another target that is high on Real Madrid’s priority list, as the Bernabeu club look to strengthen their team in a bid to wrestle the Spanish league title from rivals Barca next season.
