Arsenal and Tottenham target reveals ambition to play for Real Madrid.
Arsenal and Tottenham target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could reject offers from both clubs this summer as he hopes to fulfill his dream of playing for Real Madrid, according to the Daily Express.
The Gabon international has impressed for Ligue 1 side St Etienne this season, scoring 19 goals in 32 league games for the club, attracting interest from big clubs such as Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle.
However, the 23-year-old may reject an opportunity to join the Premier League if he can get his dream move to Real Madrid, saying it may take time to consider his decision.
“I cannot fail with my decision, whatever I decide to do will not be a mistake,” he said.
“The reflection will be long and I want to negotiate with the club that offers the best for me in every way. My dream is to one day play for Real Madrid.”
The forward started his career at Italian giants AC Milan, but failed to make the grade at the San Siro and was farmed out on loan to several French clubs, before eventually settling and finding his best form last season for St Etienne.
Arsenal and Spurs are both in need of strikers, but may now turn their attention to in-demand Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, who has really caught the eye in the Premier League this season.
