Portuguese boss told Ronaldo will be staying at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been told to forget any ambitions he might have to tempt Cristiano Ronaldo away from the Bernabeu this summer according to The Mirror.
The Special One is widely expected to leave the Spanish giants this season after enduring a difficult season at the club.
A poor start to the current campaign saw them give rivals Barcelona an unassailable lead in La Liga while the club failed to win any silverware after finding themselves knocked out of the Champions League and Copa Del Rey in recent weeks by Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Mourinho is widely expected to be appointed as the new Chelsea manager in the coming weeks and it is thought that club owner Roman Abramovich is ready to give the manager significant sums of money to restore Chelsea amongst the European elite.
That prompted speculation that Mourinho could try to bring Cristiano Ronaldo with him to Stamford Bridge but Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez has moved to pour cold water on the speculation, angrily insisting the Portuguese winger was going nowhere.
The news will come to the dismay of Manchester United too who were also thought to be keen to bring Ronaldo back to the Premier League.
