Portuguese star unhappy at Real.R
eal Madrid full back Fabio Coentrao has revealed that he could follow Jose Mourinho out of the club this summer after admitting he is unhappy at Real Madrid, Sky Sports reports.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea – a rumour which has grown since Mourinho left, and is expected to head through the exit doors this summer.
He has impressed since joining from Benfica in 2011 but has admitted that he felt the move was doomed from the start and even though the links to Chelsea are strong he won’t rule out joining anyone.
“From the first day I do not think I was wanted here,” he told Portuguese news source Ojogo.
“Today it seems that everyone wants me to leave the club. I do not know what I have done wrong.
“We must find a solution that is good for both the club and myself, so that no one will lose out.”
Coentrao was asked about the prospect of following Mourinho to Chelsea, and he admitted he would not rule it out.
“If I leave Real Madrid, I do not close the door to anyone,” he said.
In his two years in the Spanish capital he has made 63 appearances, scoring one goal.
