French team ready to break the bank to sign Manchester United striker.
Wealthy French side PSG are preparing a mega bucks move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney according to The Mirror.
The England star has found himself the subject of constant speculation in recent weeks after reportedly informing retiring manager Sir Alex Ferguson of his desire to leave the club a few weeks ago.
The club have so far insisted that Rooney’s future remains at Old Trafford but it is thought that privately they have conceded they may be willing to part ways with Rooney.
Rooney’s former mentor at Everton, David Moyes, is set to join him at United in the coming days but it is thought that will not be enough to change the strikers mind.
They may well suit Moyes who could use the money United would receive for Rooney to invest in new signings and put his own stamp on the team.
PSG are thought to be preparing an astonishing £100 million bid for Rooney. The French Champions are also ready to offer him a pay package in the region of £15 million a year after tax. His arrival could pave the way for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure, with reports suggesting the Swedish striker is keen to return to Italy.
