Napoli striker expresses La Liga ambitions.
Napoli striker Edinson Cavani is set to disappoint a number of Premier League sides according to Goal.com.
The Uruguayan striker is currently one of the hottest properties in world football and has a host of the game’s top sides monitoring his availability.
Premier League sides such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are all thought to be interested in Cavani and are weighing up summer moves.
But their hopes are set to be dashed after the player revealed his ambitions to play in La Liga.
Cavani’s father recently spoke of his son’s desire to play in Spain and this has now been confirmed by the Uruguayan star.
Cavani stated that a move to either of Real Madrid or Barcelona would be a ‘dream’.
The striker netted 38 goals in just 43 appearances for Napoli last season as his goals fired them to second place in Serie A.
Cavani also finished the season as Serie A’s top goalscorer as he helped Napoli secure a place in next season’s Champions League.
The club are desperate to keep Cavani at Napoli and are ready to offer him a new deal thought to be worth around £6 million a year in an attempt to persuade him to stay.
