Midfield ace encourages Wenger to sign Celtic star.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsay has urged boss Arsene Wenger to splash the cash on Celtic star Victor Wanyama this summer, according to The Express.
The versatile Kenyan international has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners this summer whilst Newcastle United and Southampton have both been credited with an interest in signing him too.
The 21-year-old has been valued at around £10 million as he looks to be edging closer to the exit at Parkhead after a fine season saw the side clinch the SPL title again and make it past the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in their history.
And Ramsay hopes that the club will move quickly to bring him in before anyone else gets the chance to make a bid.
“Of course, I don’t have a say on who joins us at the Emirates, but if Arsenal get to sign Victor Wanyama, I will be the first to welcome him,” he said.
“I have watched him play for Celtic, I watched him score against Barcelona and I think he is a great player.
“Whether he will join us is for other people to decided.
“He is one player I have read many clubs in England are chasing and I have no doubt he has great talent if top clubs in England are interested in him.”
