Real Madrid star Cristano Ronaldo has said that he is confident that he will sign a new contract with Los Blancos according to Goal.com.

Ronaldo’s contract expires in 2015 and rumours have suggested that the striker could move away from the Bernabeu this summer with Manchester United and Paris St Germain said to be interested.

However the striker believes that he will soon sign a near contract with Madrid.

“I know that we will soon reach an agreement. I am feeling very well. I’m calm and not too worried about it,” said Ronaldo after Portugal’s 1-0 win over Russia.

The striker made the move to Real Madrid in 2009, signing from Manchester United for a world record transfer fee.

Ronaldo has been prolific during his time at the Bernabeu but despite that the striker claimed that he was unhappy at Madrid in October.

It now looks like Ronaldo will be staying at Madrid for the foreseeable future and Los Blancos President Florentino Perez stated that he believed that Ronaldo will stay at Madrid for the rest of his career.

The Portuguese star may be joined by Gareth Bale at Madrid next season.

The Welshman has been linked with a world record move to the Bernabeu and Perez has publicly admitted his interest in Bale.
