The Real Madrid winger has said that he is going nowhere despite Jose Mourinho’s departure.
Angel Di Maria has said that he is sad about Jose Mourinho leaving Real Madrid but he will not be following the Portuguese manager out of the Bernabeu according to Sky Sports.
Di Maria has been linked with a move away from Madrid this summer following Mourinho’s departure to Chelsea but the Argentine winger has said that he is happy at Madrid and he has no intention of leaving.
“When a coach leaves a club it isn’t nice for anyone”, said Di Maria.
“But he sees his future elsewhere. I wish him all the best. I am grateful to him and I think that he also leaves with a good impression of me.”
The Argentine doesn’t see his future away from the Bernabeu and even though Di Maria had a good working relationship with Mourinho, the winger does not think he will following his former manager to Stamford Bridge.
Di Maria has been linked with a move away from Madrid since Mourinho departed the Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants are heavily linked with a move for Spurs winger Gareth Bale, with Madrid President Flortentino Perez publicly expressing interest in the Welshman.
If Madrid do sign Bale, Di Maria may be surplus to requirements at Madrid and may be forced to leave in order to play first team football.
