Sherwood believes that Bale will be at White Hart Lane next season.
Tottenham’s assistant first team coach Tim Sherwood has said that he is confident that winger Gareth Bale will be playing for the club next summer according to Marca.
Bale has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer, with many sources claiming that he will be the subject of a world record transfer bid from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
However, Sherwood believes that Bale will still be at the club next season.
“Gareth’s fantastically happy at Tottenham. He’s got a good relationship with the manager and loves his teammates. I believe one million per cent he will stay,” said Sherwood when questioned about Bale’s future.
Real Madrid are thought to front runners for the wingers signature and could be preparing an £85 million bid for the Welshman.
Manchester United are also thought to be interested in the winger, who scored 23 goals last season as Tottenham narrowly missed out on securing a spot in next seasons Champions League.
With interest from many of the top clubs in Europe, Spurs are trying to tie down their star player by offering him a new contract to stay at the club.
Whether Bale accepts the offer is another matter and many pundits around Europe have said that if Real Madrid offer Spurs £85 million, the North London club will find it very hard to turn down.
