Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has confirmed his desire to join Real Madrid according to Goal.com. The Uruguayan forward is currently on international duty with his country where has confirmed that he would be keen to play for the Spanish giants.

Suarez has slammed the English media for what he perceives as his unfair treatment over the last few seasons.

Suarez feels he has been unfairly criticised for his actions and believes it is because he is South American.

The latest Suarez controversy involved the striker receiving a ten game ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

Suarez believes the ban was unnecessarily harsh and that has persuaded him to move elsewhere. Livepool are desperate to hold on to Suarez and would insist on a transfer fee in excess of the £50 million Chelsea paid them for Fernando Torres.

That would appear to limit the number of potential destinations for Suarez but he player has hinted that he believes a move to Real could be on the cards. Suarez revealed it would be a dream for him to play for Real but insists no contact has yet been made with the club.

Bayern Munich are also thought to be monitoring the player’s availability.
