Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has further hinted at a move away from Anfield by describing Real Madrid as “a big team” according to Marca.

Suarez has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Liverpool since the end of the season, with many top European clubs cueing up to try and sign the Uruguay international.

Leading the chase is Real Madrid, who are thought to be ready to offer Liverpool £40 million for the want-away striker.

In an interview, Suarez further hinted that he would like to play at the Bernabeu.

“Real Madrid is a big team and every player dreams about it. Real Madrid is Real Madrid and it’s as high as you can go as a player and will always be tempting,” said Suarez.

The striker has had a controversial time at Anfield, being embroiled in several high profile incidents that have stunned many in football.

In May, Suarez appeared to bite Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The striker has been suspended for 10 games but it remains to be seen whether he will be seen in a Liverpool shirt again.

Italian champions Juventus are also said to be interested in Suarez as are Real Madrid’s city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Atletico are looking to replace former striker Falcao, who left to join AS Monaco in June.
