Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has given the strongest indication yet that the club are looking to make Carlo Ancelotti’s it’s next manager.

Goal.com reports that Perez has said that he believes the Italian is good enough to manager the Spanish giants.

Madrid have been linked with Carlo Ancelotti since the end of the season and is the club’s number one target to replace Jose Mourinho.

It looks as though Madrid will be stepping up their attempts to make the Italian their new coach with Perez saying ““In this moment we need a coach who really knows us and the Italian Carlo Ancelotti knows us.”

Ancelotti is known to want a move to Madrid but his current club, Paris St Germain, are reluctant to let him go after such a successful season.

The French club also want to have a new manager appointed before the Italian leaves for Madrid.

PSG have yet to find a new manager, causing frustration for Ancelotti and Real Madrid.

Florentino Perez has also stated that Zinedine Zidane, the club’s sporting director, should not be considered for the Madrid manager’s job just yet.

Perez believes that the Frenchman should start at a lower level and gain some coaching experience before going for the Madrid job.
