Jesus Navas is excited at the prospect of working with Pellegrini.
New Manchester City signing Jesus Navas has said that he is pleased that the club have appointed former Real Madrid boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager according to Goal.com.
The Chilean was appointed on a three year deal at the Etihad and replaces Roberto Mancini at the club.
Winger Jesus Navas also recently made the move to the Etihad and says that he is excited to work with his new manager.
“Everything I know about him is positive. Every team he coaches plays well, and everyone in the city will support him,” said Navas.
City have already spent £50 million this summer and are looking to improve their squad in order to mount a challenge for the Premier League title.
As well as Navas, the club have signed Shaktar Donetsk midfielder Fernandinho for £30 million and the club are set to continue spending heavily this summer with many top European players linked with the Etihad.
City have set their sights on a new striker and Edison Cavani of Napoli is top of the Sky Blues wish list however, Cavani has attracted a lot of interest from other clubs including Real Madrid, who stepped up their interest in the player last week.
City will also face competition from Real for the signature of Malaga midfielder Isco, who Pellegrini is desperate to sign.
