Luis Suarez has said that he wants to focus on Uruguay’s Confederations Cup campaign and will not be thinking about his club future at Liverpool according to Sky Sports.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid and recently said he was unhappy at the treatment he is getting from the British press.

Suarez is currently preparing for Uruguay’s first game at the Confederations Cup against Spain and will put talk about his club future to one side while his side are in the tournament.

“I’ve come to the Confederations Cup with my mind on Uruguay and not thinking about how it can help me with a transfer. My only goal is to win the trophy,” said Suarez at a press conference.

The striker has had a highly controversial season at Anfield and is currently serving a 10 match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

This has led to speculation that Suarez could leave Liverpool this summer in search of a fresh start and Real Madrid are said to be interested in the striker.

Real Madrid’s city rivals Atletico Madrid are interested in Suarez and see him as a replacement for Falcao, who recently left to join big spending AS Monaco.
