Madrid ace happy in Spain.
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has reiterated his desire to stay at the club insisting that he is still not interested in joining Chelsea, according to talkSPORT.
The Croatian maestro endured a turbulent first season in the Spanish capital and has been linked with a return to England just 12 months after arriving for £32 million from Spurs. Many have expected him to link back up with former Real manager Jose Mourinho, who has just returned to the west London club.
And though he holds fond memories of his time with ‘the special one’ he insists that Real is the club he wants to play for.
“I can only speak well of Mourinho. He’s a fantastic coach,” Modric told Spanish newspaper Marca.
“It was a pleasure to work with him. He taught me how to play more aggressively. He always tries to get more than the best out of every player.
“If you give 100% he asks for 110%. If you don’t play to the best of your ability, someone will come and take your place.
“I showed what was expected of me at Old Trafford. I found my form in the right place and at the right time. It was an amazing 30 minutes and that was just the start. There will be more performances like that.”
