Arsenal are ready to blow their rivals out of the water in order to ensure they succeed in their attempts to sign Gonzalo Higuain according to The Metro.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has promised a significant transfer kitty this summer as he looks to re-establish the team as one capable of challenging for the title.
He has reportedly made a new striker one of his top priorities after a disappointing debut season from Olivier Giroud last campaign.
Wenger is thought to have identified Real Madrid’s Higuain as the man who can fire the Gunners to glory and is ready to make a huge, mega-bucks bid to secure his man.
It is being suggested that Arsenal are ready to part with a whopping £25 million for the Argentine forward. That is likely to be far in success of what the Gunners’ rivals for his signature are likely to be willing to pay.
Italian champions Juventus are known to also be showing an interest in Higuain but it is thought unlikely that they will be able to match a bid in that region.
Despite that, the Spanish side are still insisting that no deal goes through until the club have appointed a new manager. Madrid are expected to announce Carlo Ancelotti as the successor to Jose Mourinho in the coming days.
