Real Madrid are reportedly very confident that they will successfully complete their long awaited pursuit of Gareth Bale by early June according to Spanish source AS.

The Bernabeu side plan to unveil the Tottenham attacker as one of a number of summer signings sometime in early July, with Edinson Cavani and Isco also said to be players the La Liga side are confident of bringing in from Napoli and Malaga respectively.

Re-elected president Florentino Perez has to deliver on the promises made during his election campaign, albeit one he fought unopposed, and Real Madrid are keen to issue something of a statement of intent having seen Barcelona wrestle back the domestic title last season.

Tito Vilanova’s side then won the race to sign Neymar and Perez is looking to pull out all the stops to bring in a trio that is sure to set Real Madrid back somewhere near £150m to pull off.

Tottenham have steadfastly refused to discuss the possibility of selling their prized asset but if Real Madrid make an official offer of £65m or above then White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy may struggle to turn down such a bid, especially if a concrete offer from the Spanish giants were to convince Bale to make a formal transfer request.

23 year old Welsh international Bale had a standout season in 2012/13 though his 21 goal Premier League haul failed to secure a coveted Champions League football and this may well prove to be the decisive factor that dictates the former Southampton youngster’s Spurs future.

Real Madrid have already signed Daniel Carvajal and Casemiro thus far this summer.
