Real Madrid have ruled out the notion of selling young winger Jese Rodriguez this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The 20-year-old starlet had been impressing with the club’s B team last season where he captured the attentions of a number of sides including Tottenham Hotspur.

However, new Real coach Carlo Ancelotti has earmarked him to feature more for the first team this coming season, though competition for a regular starting place will be tough.

The player himself had admitted that he didn’t know what the future had in store for him recently as speculation surrounding his future intensified, but Real are thought to be keen to not let such a talented player slip through their grasp and will give him the chance to prove himself at the Santiago Bernabeau next season,

He recently feature for under-20 World Cup for Spain and has just a year remaining on his current deal with the club, and the club’s technical director Miguel Pardez has confirmed that the tricky wide man will be staying in the Spanish capital.

“Jese will be staying with us,” he said.

“He forms part of a brilliant generation and has already shown what he can do with Castilla.”

The player is also known to be admired by legend Zinedine Zidane after president Florentino Perez said; “I have a feeling that (Zinedine) Zidane wants him to stay with us.”
