White Hart Lane’s prized asset edging towards Bernabeu move?
Tottenham winger Gareth Bale could make a move to Real Madrid within hours as the Welsh international prepares for show-down talks with White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy according to Spanish source Sport.es.
The 24 year old is seriously considering never representing Tottenham again after being angered by Levy’s decision to turn down an astonishing €95m (£82m) offer from the Bernabeu side for their prized asset.
Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a club record deal to sign Valencia striker Roberto Soldado with this source claiming that is a move the North London side are pursuing with a view to covering the cost with funds made from a potential sale of star performer Bale.
Bale represented Tottenham in an early pre-season friendly against Swindon Town but hasn’t taken part in any of the club’s Asian tour fixtures and this could perhaps be a sign that the former Southampton man is unhappy with the club’s position on his availability in the summer transfer market.
Levy may well be keen to keep hold of Bale, believing that doing so will greatly aid Tottenham’s chances of securing that all important top four finish, however an offer of £80m+ is surely next to impossible to turn down.
Bale scored 26 goals in all competitions last term, form that helped the attacker claim both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards.
