Troubled hit man puts man in hospital over the weekend.
Birmingham City striker Marlon King is in trouble again after a hit and run incident in central London over the weekend, the Daily Mail reports.
The 33-year-old has been released on bail until September after colliding with a man in his early 40s close to Paddington rail station in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“The guy was hit by a car, possibly a Mercedes, not far from Paddington station. He got a knock to the head but the driver didn’t stop to see if he was OK,” a source at the scene said.
“The police were called pretty quickly.”
The former Nottingham Forest, Watford and Coventry City man was detained by police in Lancaster Gate, whilst the victim was taken to hospital for head injuries. It is not the first time the forward has found himself the wrong side of the law, having previously been jailed for sexual assault and ABH in 2009.
A police spokesman said on Monday night: “A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and taken to a central London police station.”
Hours earlier King had been given a free transfer from the Midlands side, though his agent has refused to comment.
