Real Madrid are set to offer Spurs a world record £86 million for Bale.
Gareth Bale is odds-on to leave Tottenham for the first time this summer, Sky Sports reports.
Odds have been slashed on Bale leaving White Hart Lane and moving to Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are set to offer the North London club a world record £86 million to acquire the Welshman.
Bale was fantastic for Spurs last season, scoring 21 Premier League goals and winning three major individual accolades.
However, despite his efforts, Spurs failed to finish in the Premier League’s top four, meaning they missed out on a place in the Champions League.
Bale is desperate to play in Europe’s top footballing competition and reports suggest that he has told the Spurs hierarchy of his desire to leave White Hart Lane and move to Real Madrid.
However, Spurs still claim that Bale is not for sale at any price, with chairman Daniel Levy determined to hold on to his star player.
The Spurs chairman hopes to persuade Bale to sign a new contract with the club and keep him in North London for at least one more year when he will be likely to let the player leave for Real Madrid.
