Welshman has already decided he wants to move to the Bernabeu next season.
Wide man Gareth Bale has now played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur, as the north London club continue to negotiate with Real Madrid over the sale of their star man this summer, according to exclusive reports in the Daily Star.
The Wales international has been the subject of much speculation of late linking him with a possible word-record transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu next season, with los Blancos having reportedly lodged a bid of £85 million for the 24-year-old.
However, despite the two clubs carrying on talks about the winger’s exit from White Hart Lane, with Tottenham demanding coveted young Madrid front man Alvaro Morta in part exchange for any deal for Bale, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and head coach Andre Villas-Boas are already understood to be preparing for life in the capital next season without the Welshman.
Levy has spent all week in talks with Bale’s representatives in an attempt to persuade them that Bale does have a future at the Lane going forward, but the player has reportedly already made up his mind to move to the Spanish capital and as such, the playmaker’s name could not be found on a list of Tottenham players for the new campaign at the club’s training HQ in Enfield on Thursday.
Bale scored 26 goals in just 44 matches in total for Spurs last season, form in front of goal that saw the attacking midfield player crowned the double Footballer of the Year come the climax to the campaign.
