John Van’t Schip Returns as Part of a Youth Revolution at Melbourne Heart

A New Era in the Red side of Melbourne

Dutchman John Van’t Schip will return to Melbourne Heart, this time as Technical Manger.

Van’t Schip will begin his second stint at the club this season, after taking charge of Heart for the teams first A-League Campaign in 2010.

As well as coaching both the Senior and Youth sides, the 49-year-old  former Ajax and FC Twente coach will be working closely with Cruyff football.

Croyff football was created by Holland Legend Johan Cruyff, it aims to create an youth development programme, ensuring the next generation of top class talent is never far away.

Speaking to Football Australia, Melbourne Heart CEO Scott Munn said: It’s fantastic to have John’s expertise back to support the entire organisation,

“Establishing a world class talent pipeline is fundamental to Melbourne Heart’s long term vision and, more broadly, these types of initiatives are vital to Australia’s long-term competitiveness within Asia.”

Cruyff was instrumental in setting up the Youth programmes at both Ajax and Barcelona.
