Arsene Wenger is desperate to add some quality players to his squad before the transfer window closes and has added Draxler and Kaka to his list of targets.
Arsenal are set to make moves for Schalke’s Julian Draxler and Real Madrid’s Kaka as Arsene Wenger frantically tries to bolster his squad before Monday’s transfer deadline, the Daily Mirrorreports.
Draxler is regarded as one of European football’s brightest young talents and has attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea over the course of the summer.
Arsenal will now make a move to sign the 19 year old over the weekend but Schalke are desperate to hold onto one of their best players and will demand at least £40 million before they even consider selling.
Wenger has also put Kaka on his list of targets but it is thought that the Brazilian is fairly low down on the Frenchman’s list, with Wenger more keen on three of the Brazilian’s Real Madrid team mates, Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil.
All three have reservations about moving to Arsenal and don’t want to leave Real Madrid but they maybe forced out of the Santiago Bernbeu as Madrid want to re-coup some money, with the club set to complete the £86 million signing of Gareth Bale over the weekend.
However, if none of the trio decide to join Arsenal, Wenger may try and sign Kaka as an alternative.
