Real Madrid boss sent a scouting team to monitor Juventus’s recent Serie A fixture with Parma and it turns out this wasn’t just down to the fact that the La Liga side are set to take on the Serie A side in Champions League action.

Rather than being a chance to simply take a closer look at their upcoming opponents Bernabeu boss Carlo Ancelotti is apparently interested in a trio of midfield talent.

Chief among his targets is Juventus veteran Andrea Pirlo, who is apparently considering his options ahead of a possible move away from Serie A for one last challenge and the chance to reunite with his former AC Milan boss at Real Madrid may prove very tempting indeed for the Italian international.

The 34 year old has been a hugely influential player since his move to Juventus in the summer of 2011, helping Antonio Conte’s side to back to back Serie A titles. However his contract is up at the end of the season and the allure of representing Real Madrid may lure Pirlo to Spain.

Ancelotti is also said to be keen on in-form French youngster Paul Pogba as well as attacking midfielder Arturo Vidal.
