The Brazilian starlet recently came to prominence during the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in which Mosquito was one of the undoubted stars of the whole tournament.

In fact in total, the 17-year-old managed to record a highly impressive four goals and two assists in his five games for his country at a competition in which a number of scouts from some of the Continent’s biggest clubs were in attendance.

And that includes representatives from La Liga outfit Real Madrid and Serie A champions Juventus, with both European heavyweights also known to be keen to land Mosquito next year.

The front man, however, must first turn 18 next month before any negotiations over his departure from Atletico Paranaense can begin, although it is understood that the player’s agents will demand a transfer fee somewhere in the region of £4 million for their client when talks do finally get under way.

And if the west Londoners are successful in their pursuit of Mosquito, then it is thought likely they would then ship him out to their feeder club in the Eredivisie, Vitesse Arnhem, for next season.
