The Emirates Stadium side are ready to offer £30m for the 21 year old, who is seen as an alternative to long term target Julian Draxler.
Isco has impressed when called upon by Carlo Ancelotti but has struggled to retain a foothold in the Real Madrid starting eleven since the turn of the year, the former Malaga man starting just one La Liga match in 2014.
The Spanish international has nonetheless managed to rack up nine goals in 33 appearances in all competitions this season.
Though Arsenal have a number of creative midfield talents there is clearly something of an issue with injury concerns to a number of those available to Wenger, with Aaron Ramsey the latest to suffer, so the Gunners could well feel Isco would be an intelligent capture.
Isco could well provide a more direct link between midfield and attack or could even be seen as a player who could be played in a supporting role to the club’s striking talents, the young Spaniard clearly having an eye for goal.
Having successfully brought in Mesut Ozil from the Spanish giants Arsenal may feel they can pull off another high-profile Bernabeu raid.
