Podolski goal not enough to worry dominant Germans…
Bayern Munich were never really troubled tonight by Arsenal who did manage to stop their German rivals winning a 14th consecutive match.
Bastian Schweinsteiger bagged the game’s opening goal following clever work from Franck Ribery down Bayern’s left.
Lukas Podolski fouled Philipp Lahm for the Gunners’ equaliser, but although everyone stopped playing, the referee never gave it, and the former Bayern forward went and slammed the ball inside the near post from a tight angle.
Sadly for Arsenal though, it wasn’t enough – and Bayern went through 3-1 on aggregate.
