Lucas Leiva has suffered with a fair few injury concerns and Brendan Rodgers doesn’t have a great many central midfield options at present so a move for Barcelona star Alex Song would be a wise one to consider.
The 26 year old has struggled to retain a foothold in the Nou Camp starting eleven but make no mistake, the Cameroon international is a quality player and is far more than ‘just’ an enforcer.
It’s worth remembering that in his final season at Arsenal Song finished as one of the Premier League’s leading assist makers.
A move for Song wouldn’t cost the earth and the La Liga side are certainly open to selling the former Gunners star.
