Arsene Wenger has reportedly made enquiries about the 22-year-old Brazilian star and has sent scouts to watch him in action.
Casemiro joined Los Blancos for £5m from Sao Paulo this summer but has struggled for game time, making just nine La Liga appearances this season, all from the bench.
The youngster has impressed in his limited opportunities, however, and his ability to protect the back four will no doubt appeal to Wenger, whose side have frequently been accused of lacking steel.
But Inter Milan are also keen on the young Brazilian, who is a good passer and physically strong.
With Real Madrid boasting the likes of Luka Modric, Asier Illarramendi and Xabi Alonso at holding midfield, it’s unlikely Casemiro will get more first team opportunities next season.
